About ME

Origin Story
My name is Jessica Amashta (she/her). I am a bilingual (Spanish) licensed clinical social worker from Chicago, IL providing individual therapy to individuals experiencing mental health distress. I use a person-centered approach and encourage clients to be in the driver’s seat. I value building rapport with clients to better understand them and their journey in order to provide a safe and trusting environment. Some therapeutic modalities that I employ include CBT, ACT, and DBT.
At this time, I only offer telehealth services. Please email me at jessica@thrivingtherapychicagopllc.com for more information. We can schedule a brief phone call to discuss fit and next steps.

Empowering clients to live their authentic and values-driven lives
More about me…
I work with clients who experience anxiety, depression, and burnout related to work or school. I recognize that many factors may contribute to one’s experience of mental health symptoms and am not going to apply a one-sized fits all approach to treatment. I value hearing about my clients’ individual goals such as symptom reduction or living a more well-balanced life.
I recognize that starting therapy is difficult, whether it’s your first time engaging in therapy or you’ve met with a therapist in the past. For this reason, I am grateful to be considered as someone who may be helpful. Ultimately, I hope that my clients walk away with a set of tools that improve their well-being and help them reach their goals.
I offer 60 minute and 30 minute sessions. The first visit is an intake assessment. During this time, we will discuss presenting concerns, goals for treatment, and agree on a cadence. I am in network with BCBS Illinois PPO. If not using insurance, self pay rates can be discussed. I offer sliding scale fees if financial difficulties arise. Please reference the contact information to discuss next steps.
